Grandma, a word is almost familiar to everyone as we are all bound to have one. For me, my grandma has the Chinese female’s traditional virtues: kindnessgenerosityprudence and optimism. Not only the relatives but also her neighbors speak high of her. Now in my writing, I want to talk about my grandma in my eyes.

I will never forget the date—July.19th, 2005. Gusts of wind with a taste of rain in them had almost swept the street. It really shocked to the core the moment I heard the news of my grandma’s death. At that time, my breath was taken away and I could hear clearly the continual blame in my heart: why I’m having New Oriental class in Hang Zhou. How I wish to come back in seconds! Ten days is short but it seems so long. When seeing my grandma’s photo hanging on the wall, I burst into tears immediately. Suddenly the past things flashed in my mind...

As early as I can remember, my grandma has already had white hair with little black in it. Maybe it is because of the hard time she experienced to have brought 7 children up by herself. When I was in the kindergarten, I lived with my grandma most of time and she taught me drawingsinging planting flower patiently. She frequently told me to be careful when crossing the street or put on more clothes when the weather turns colder. Though sometimes she was like an inquisitive chatterbox, I got in a groove in it actually. When I was in the middle school, she always persuaded me to put in perspiration and enthusiasm in study so that I would have a bright future.

My grandma is a frugal person, but she was always generous to others and willing to offer help. For instance, she often helped the neighbors look after their children, do the housework and so on. It was incredible that she would give all her biscuits to beggars. Anyway, she felt happy to give a hand to others.

Misfortune has settled on her that she was knocked down by a bike accidentally. Owning to her optimism and strong will, she recovered quickly after several years. But her bones became weaker and weaker. Unfortunately, she couldn’t escape from the death. If she were alive, I would like to listen to her rambling. If she were alive, I would like to call her grandma again and again. If she were alive, I would never be willful and obstinate. If she were alive…

If I had my life to live over, I sincerely hope that you would be my grandma again!
